Excellent place. First the mac and chees tops the charts. Second they have a beef rib once a week, get it! I saw so many things I wanted so they very kindly gave me an assortment..everything was great. Im not a huge pulled pork fan but hands down they are the best ive ever had. It was so good I would get it all the time if I could. The Brisket was great..but the best was the jalapeño cheddar sausage.... Go try that

We dined here (two of us) for $50. We ordered the side baked potato and Mac n cheese. Other things ordered were two small fountain drinks, brisket and cheddar/jalapeño sausage. The place was busy and people were seated both inside and out. I might return, I enjoyed my food and the service was good. I would recommend to someone looking for decent BBQ and a quick bite.

Truly a 5 star experience. Austin first greeted us and asked if we had any questions. The meat is ordered by weight/ however much you want. They have 2 cutters on two lines that take your order of what you want, then you go inside and grab other sides. The banana pudding and corn are a must, truly the best banana pudding I’ve ever had. The chicken was delicious too. The brisket is so soft and juicy. Truly falls apart. I could not recommend this place enough. There is indoor and outdoor seating with so much helpful staff that grab your dirty trays and clean as they go. The bathroom was clean.

Hard Eight BBQ turned an unexpected overnight stay in Dallas into a memorable meal. Our flight was delayed and we needed somewhere close to the airport, and this place was exactly what we were hoping for. We sampled several items from the pit, including the brisket, ribs, turkey, jalapeño cheese sausage, and the bacon-wrapped shrimp and chicken. The brisket was my favorite—tender, flavorful, and everything you expect from authentic Texas BBQ. The jalapeño cheese sausage was a pleasant surprise, packed with flavor without being overly spicy. The ribs and turkey were both excellent, and the bacon-wrapped shrimp and chicken were another highlight of the meal. For sides, we tried the sweet corn and onion rings. Both were good, but the sweet corn was definitely our favorite and paired perfectly with the smoked meats. The atmosphere has a very authentic Texas vibe, and you can tell this is the real deal. Watching the pit and choosing your meats cafeteria-style adds to the experience. If you find yourself spending an unexpected night near DFW Airport because of a delayed flight—as happened to us—this is the place to go. Great food, great atmosphere, and a true taste of Texas.
